Frequently asked questions

Your questions

What are the filing deadlines?

For individuals, April 30, or June 15 if you or your spouse are self-employed (any balance owing is still due April 30). For corporations, the return is due six months after the fiscal year-end, and the balance is generally payable two or three months after year-end.

Salary or dividends: which should I choose?

It depends on your income, your cash needs, your retirement goals and your corporation's situation. It's an analysis I do with you, ideally before year-end.

I received a letter from the CRA or Revenu Québec. What should I do?

Don't set it aside: response deadlines are often short. Send it to me, and I'll explain what it means and help you respond.

Do you also prepare personal tax returns?

Yes, for individuals as well as for business owners who want their personal and business returns handled by the same professional.
